Technical description
CMS
CMS (Carboxymethyl Starch) is an anionic starch derivative obtained through carboxymethylation of starch molecules. Thanks to its excellent thickening, binding and water retention properties, CMS is widely used in textile sizing, drilling fluids, construction chemicals and various technical applications. Together with modified starches, CMS products are used across oil & gas drilling, textile, paper, adhesives, mining, detergents, construction chemicals and industrial processing systems.
Applications
- Textile sizing systems
- Oil & gas drilling fluids
- Construction chemicals
- Paper, adhesives and industrial processing
Key benefits
- Excellent thickening performance
- Strong binding and water retention
